Pros

I'm an engaged employee and I REALLY love working for the CU. I honestly recommend First Entertainment if you're looking for a career not a job. First Entertainment values your talent as long as you work hard and don't feel a sense of entitlement. I have witnessed very hard working individuals get promoted not because of what they know but what they're willing to learn. The compensation and medical benefits are very good when you compare them to other credit unions with similar assets.

Cons

I feel that some departments still work in silos and are having a hard time adapting to our Cultural Beliefs

Pros

CEO is great and has the right idea but employees aren’t happy. These unhappy employees are messing it up for the new employees, like myself. Staff development Day should be positive & stay positive. We watch this mice & cheese YouTube video which basically represented the unhappy employees, why are we focusing on these unhappy employees?? It’s really starting to rub off on me. The people makes the company and FirstEnt is a great company but with so many unhappy employees, it’s best that I find another job so they can figure it out

Cons

-Big gap between corporate & branches (recently rolled out new logo but branches don’t have anything with new logo except the rate board ) which is a disorganization within the company -lots of unhappy employees that speaks negatively about other employees & company -Management team makes

The new branding is definitely a big project but we do have a scheduled way of rolling it out to both corporate and our branches. Please reach out to HR to confidentially discuss any concerns at 888-800-3328. Thank you again, First Entertainment Credit Union HR

Involved managers needed

Pros

Some reasons why FirstEntertainment is great; it’s a job not a career.

Cons

-training for new accounts & loans happens too far from hired date -their idea of proper training is observing seasoned employees since there’s never a schedule date for the classroom training -managers including regional managers, doesn’t following culture beliefs & expect everyone else too. -no work life balance -branch’s goals are based on previous year monthly goals. While individual goals are just a set number each month. (Individual goal just makes sense to aline with branch’s goals if they want to follow their culture belief of one team) -benefits could be better. Most basic healthcare covers comes with $20copay for each visit. I’ve had a lot better at other financial firms -Lots of negative words of regional managers from employees which create an awkward environment for other employees -ADP clock in by the min. Can get in trouble if clocked in a min later.
