Pros

Good canteen Decent work-life balance Good bonus (but you had to earn it - great for those who like to learn and excel) Predicted the effects of the coming recession and shielded employees for as long as they could

Cons

Hierarchy started to get quite bloated and restrictive, meaning work became more compressed to deal with the longer sign-off time (but the deadlines never moved) More managers meant they had to compete to 'win' their project priorities, meant more niches, and more bullies HR sided with the bullies with the biggest salaries (I witnessed more tears and swearing matches in my final year than all of my previous six years combined)
