Pros

I really enjoyed working at FirstEnergy. For being in located in NE Ohio they offer great pay and solid benefits. The IT department is forward thinking and organized. Management seems to value a strong technical culture.

Cons

As an energy company there is great opportunity in the next few years but it seems like FirstEnergy is not keeping up with renewable energy research and production-- start doing this.
