Pros

Good job security, peers in local offices are largely good people to work with. You only work 40 hours a week in my job title (unless bad storms come through), but this increases stress because more than 40 hours are needed to keep up with workload put upon us. Annual bonuses are nice, but are used in lieu of good raises to keep salaries down over time.

Cons

Salary is at the low end of competitive, especially if you live in an expensive area. Benefits deteriorate a little more each year. Your career will move forward very slowly unless you leapfrog and apply for jobs outside your group. There is little incentive to over perform, as nearly everyone is rated "average" on the bell curve review process (by definition). Customer service is steady deteriorating because of staffing levels, placing great stress on front line employees who work with the public regularly. Technology is antiquated, or on a shoestring budget if newer tech, both hampering production. Too many levels of management leads to chronic micro-management.

Pros

+ unique plant environment and roles + great coworkers + decent pay for given location

Cons

- very challenging advancement path - outages require 72 hour weeks for at least a month out of every 2 years - company's relatively poor market position and finances which lead to small raises that lag COLA

Pros

Great pay, good coworkers. Tony Alexander is no longer CEO. Hopefully Chuck Jones turns this company around.

Cons

I believed there are to many bosses (upper management), supervisors (foreman) are to young and have to little knowledge and people skills.
