Departments are like nuclear missile silos, especially the large generic departments like marketing. They either don't think to communicate and share info, or they don't want to. At times it is like 100 little companies, instead of 1. The officers club also exists like the military in the 1950's. Non-Officers don't communicate with officers outside their direct reports.

Management has no idea what their employees need to sufficiently assist the customer. They have great ideas, but don't know how to implement them. Most managers seem to dislike their job or really have no clue what their job actually is. We had a crew of 25 people and had 5 managers under that specific group. It's decent employment for people who need a job, not a career and no room for upward mobility. This is specifically directed at the Bellevue, WA branch.
