Pros

The health benefits were great the 401k plan was great (but I think it tanked so I wouldn't bet on that now). They do not require a college degree.

Cons

The pay was not competitive, there is pressure to work faster and faster and those who produce the most get advancement even when the mistakes they make from rushing far out way the production of solid work. If you are someone who takes pride in your work and do not like to make errors underwriting here is not the place for you.

Pros

As a direct lending manager you have access to the best of both worlds (lender/broker). Your compensation is unlimited because you get to eventually keep all of the profit your team brings in.

Cons

Support system could use work. There is definitely a "go out there an be somebody (with no help)" attitude.

Pros

A lot of opportunity for growth if you are willing to work for it. Bonuses are good when the goals are attainable. Upper management is very responsive to concerns at the branch level.

Cons

Minimal staffing levels do not allow the chance to have commitments outside work. Pay scale is less than similar jobs at other banks
