      Pros

      - Current CEO is great but he won’t be CEO once the acquisition is completed from NYCB -

      Cons

      - Commercial lending, specifically the credit team, is unable to keep enough people on staff so the current porter manager’s are extremely over worked with no work/life balance - The management in commercial lending doesn’t understand how to support their employees - the pay range for portfolio managers is well under market - Communication from middle management is non existent - The bank wants to be a large bank but has the mentality of a small, community bank.

      -Opportunity for growth in the financial industry. You will learn new skills if you are interested. -Opportunity for advancement. There are always lots of openings. -Ok amount of PTO. 3-4 weeks for most staff. -Short days-A typical week is only 37.5 hours -Pizza parties?

      Cons

      -The pay is NOT competitive: Have not adjusted their pay-scale in 5 years. Merit increases are a joke. -Saturday "rotation" is a bald-faced lie. Unless you luck into one of the managers willing to pull their weight, say goodbye to your weekends. -Staffing model is a mess. Most branches run on way too few people. -Terrible technology. Out of date systems and constant technical problems.
