You can do better than Fleet Feet Greensboro

Pros

You get access to new and exciting footwear and apparel offerings from a few of the biggest names in running. Outside vendors are nice.

Cons

Greensboro's owner doesn't know how to run a business. He promises 30+ hours a week to everyone and then fails to deliver. Staff training is an afterthought, hopefully you learn enough in your 10 days of training, because you'll be thrown to the wolves after that. Daily staffing is kept to a bare minimum, management keeps insisting that sales will slow down and won't commit to providing enough bodies on the floor, so you're expected to work with 2 or 3 sets of customers at once, despite being told in training to only work with one person at a time.

Pros

The pros to working here is the customers they have some great stories to tell you and truly want there help

Cons

The owner under pays you, plays the blame game, threatens to not pay, decides the schedule without telling you before you arrive for your shift, gets mad at you if you can't make a pub run even though he says it's voluntary, is extremely disorganized and bullies his employees

Pros

Great co-workers, making a positive impact on the community, helping customers solve problems. Third-party discounts and working events.

Cons

Absolutely no breaks of any kind even during an 8+ hour shift. No raises. Un realistic expectations for amount of pay. No positive incentives offered for hard work. Owners not present during key busy times, instead they are off doing their own races. Owners show favoritism towards certain employees. No opportunities for growth. Very disorganized. Owners do not pay mileage or even compensate for travel time when you are asked to work events or meet with vendors. Owners can be very rude and disrespectful to employees.
