Pros

The benefits for health insurance and retirement are excellent. PTO/sick time is also amazing

Cons

The pay is fairly low in comparison to the cost of living in Tallahassee, as well as FSU counting the ability to take classes that they would pay for as part of your salary. In reality if you don’t take classes I don’t think it’s fair to count it in your compensation package as I would much rather be paid more.

Pros

Very stable job. Biweekly pay and great benefits package. Great job for someone who wants stability and work-life balance. Most positions at FSU offer 2 day a week remote-work.

Cons

Very inconsiderate of requesting health accommodation. Forced to come into the office 5 days a week shortly after major health issue which caused more health issues and more costs. Must be a very rigid person who doesn't like complex problems and uniqueness. University wants you to be a robot with no individuality. VERY low pay compared to other jobs in this field.
