But.... along with that stability mentioned above, at both the team and company level has what appears to be a natural resistance and/or misunderstanding to the importance of new ideas and new technologies. Yes there have been discussions of new ideas/technologies, but they usually don't get implemented, and there is usually pushback in subtle ways to those ideas. There exists an implicit feeling of "lets keep going with what we have already been doing... why would we change it?"
I would also say that there also appears to be an older school way of looking at business in general. I think the day-to-day way that Flowserve conducts handling it's employees, tends to be a little outdated in many areas.
