Pros

The employees are a good group and want the company to succeed. They are the leader in the industry due to their history and name recognition.

Cons

Upper management’s expectations of the employees are unrealistic on every level. A new General Manager is assigned to this IDEX business unit just about every 18 months and comes with a new direction. The sales/marketing/quality/logistics departments need many more employees to do what upper management is requiring. In most cases, individuals are doing two or three jobs. Communication within this organization is poor at best between/within departments and there is a constant upper management power struggle. They are not developing any new markets for their products and their primary customer base is shrinking quickly.

Pros

Working at Fluid Management entails the following advantages: Good pay whether if you are an employee or not, accessibility to the Wheeling industrial zone location, familiarity with all employees given that all departments basically work as one unit , and the company is a major player in its field wherein they dominate the large portion (about 70%) of the dispensing equipment industry for markets such as Walmart, Home Depot, and Lowe's.

Cons

There is a regular employee turnover from the upper, middle management, as well as its regular and temporary personnel to the point that every quarter there is a management change anouncement and employee movement. In the short run it might sound like a regular company process, but apparently employee morale and efficiency is somewhat affected by these changes. There is also too much emphasis on profit and build quota that every month end the company is pressured to meet its planned build goals. Given the lack of personnel, it makes the situation more difficult.
