Pros

- the people are what makes this place. 99% of the people I worked with were kind, supportive, and fun to be around. You can not ask for better coworkers - I suppose hybrid work environment (I was hired under the understanding this was a fully remote position, never to return to an office, but a month after joining, they forced everyone to be hybrid if you were within a certain distance of an office) - Flywheel itself has very encouraging high up management

Cons

- Omnicom (the corp who bought flywheel) gives off supervillian vibes and does not take into account anything the employees say. I could go on and on here but I'll keep it simple. They bought this company simply to run it's culture/people into the ground and it's honestly incredibly frustrating. Do better. - Although the team is full of great people, everyone is so clearly burnt out. Almost everyone I worked with congratulated me for "getting out of here." I felt like I survived a horror movie - Work/life balance is non-existent. As someone who prides themselves on their time management skills and hard work, there is simply no way to get everything down in a 9 hour work day. I regularly worked long hours and nights, skipped lunches, and fixated on this job whenever I was away from my laptop. - for the amount of hours I worked, the pay was not great. If it was a normal 9-5, it would be pretty decent pay. - Middle management is hit or miss. Management really feels distant from the day to day.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for highlighting the positive aspects of your experience during your time at Flywheel, particularly the strong sense of camaraderie among your colleagues. It's clear that our people are a key strength, and we're glad that you found your coworkers to be supportive and enjoyable to work with. We understand the concerns you've raised about the transition to a hybrid work model and we understand this shift has been challenging, especially for those hired as fully remote employees. Although you are no longer with the business, we can assure you that we are exploring ways to better support all current employees through these changes and appreciate their patience as we navigate this new phase. Your observations about work-life balance and burnout are important, and we're committed to addressing these issues. Ensuring that our teams have manageable workloads and the support they need is a priority as we continue to evolve within the broader Omnicom structure. Regarding compensation, we understand that balancing workload with fair pay is crucial. We continuously review our compensation and work policies to ensure they align with the expectations and efforts of our team members. The feedback about middle management and the distance you felt from day-to-day operations is valuable. We are working to improve communication and engagement at all levels of the organization to ensure that everyone feels heard and supported. Finally, your comments about Omnicom's approach are noted. While integrating with a larger organization brings challenges, we are committed to maintaining Flywheel's culture and ensuring that employee voices continue to be an integral part of our decision-making process. We appreciate the insights you've shared and thank you for your commitment during your time at Flywheel. Your feedback is invaluable as we work to enhance and foster a positive environment for everyone.
