      Waste of time

      Pros

      There are not any pros, they'll waste your time and energy. If you like that sort of thing, you'll love them.

      Cons

      Idiots and they'll waste your time. They'll text you (which seems cool) until they just stop responding. I have credentials and experience in the medical field and I'm working with several staffing companies, these guys are by far the worst. They'll literally called me and took me away from my job and then told me on the phone, "Sorry, I didn't mean to call you. I just realized you have ZERO experience in the medical field (not true) and I just wasted your time. Sorry." Yes, they are sorry and I wasn't about to argue my credentials. Just thought I'd share so no one else has to go through that annoyance.

      Recruiting at Focus Staff

      Pros

      - Casual attire - Nice office space - The recruiters/management are good people and truly care about their travelers .. I would recommend Focus Staff to travelers.

      Cons

      - Unprofessional environment - Extremely unorganized from a lead generation/prospect standpoint.

      Appreciate the candid feedback. You are right. In the initial 90 days, we do look for the intangibles like punctuality and strong work ethic. We like to create that initial discipline, which inevitably leads to results down the line. We love to provide flexibility to those with both tenure and performance. Unfortunately this didn't seem to be a fit. We understand we aren't a fit for everyone.

      The worst decision I made

      I left a large staffing agency because of promises made to come over to Focus Staff. It’s all smoke and mirrors. They lied about turnover and how well recruiters were doing in the interviews. I was hired on with many others and trained with them as well. Nobody from the group that trained with me is still at this company. They encourage recruiters to work after hours and on the weekends. I only lasted a few months before I realized they have little-to-no lead generation and no plan to accommodate the majorly shifting market. They blame the recruiter for not being good enough when they don’t offer the appropriate resources to meet the goals they set. I was a very successful recruiter at my previous job. This job sent me into a major depression. I am not sure if they overload the reviews, but I wish I would have looked harder when considering taking this job. The negative reviews are buried on either side by all 5 stars.
