Pros

A large company that posts lots of career opportunities. Senior management very interested in developing the employees, although mid-level managers don't follow through.

Cons

Lots of opportunities, but only if your immediate manager is supportive. If he or she does not like you, then you are usually stuck. And even if you find another opportunity within the company, your manager can block your move.

*pay not the highest, but the benefits make up for it. *The company is going in the right direction--looking to the future to create the best environment for associates & customers. *Done a much better job of ensuring the development of associates. *If you have the drive and capabilities, there is ample opportunity for advancement. *The company is strong & healthy--always moving forward. *They are putting the focus on customers!

Pros

They give you a chance to build your resume. There are a lot of different issues that occur that gives you the experience you need to move on. Diaster Management, labor and payroll, forecasting sales,management in general. There are a lot of different areas that are covered.

Cons

Horrible hours close then open sheduling 2pm-12am then 6am-4pm holidays weekends Schedule is likely to change mid way through the week, so forget about planning all together. Pay is on the low side. Excessive amounts of manual labor. 10 hour days often with short or no lunch breaks. The store managers have almost complete control over your career.
