Very metric driven. Very large JIRA environment that is tied to everything and they're change management process, very strange for such a small bank in my opinion. The workflow and change process for everything was over complicated for every process. If your ticket numbers are low, it reflects poorly on your performance and your manager will critique how you are doing your work. They audit everything even more so than the other banks I worked for over the past 12 years. I was constantly being asked to audit the most mundane things and take dozens of screen shots. When you submitted the work to management, they would send it back because they didn't like the way the screen shots looked. No clear procedures on how to do the work they expect from you. Lots and lots of re-work and second guessing on if you are performing the job correctly or if you did something they think is wrong. The first thing they told me when I walked in the door was "We are not micro managers" which I quickly learned they were. The head of IT is like the Wizard of Oz, you never see him... but he is behind a curtain someplace pulling levers. While I was there two IT staff were fired and two guys walked out in a 5-month period. I guess that says something about an organization.
