      Pros

      Strong technology and responsive to customer needs. Good environment for mechanical engineers. Good product lineup for very specific applications. Friendly, hard working environment.

      Cons

      Closely held and controlled by owners. All decisions must be agreed upon and approved by owners. A lot of micro-management.

      Thank you for your feedback. At FORMULATRIX, we set 6-month goals for our project teams as a set of guidelines for what we would like to accomplish over that period. Employees are given the freedom to develop and execute plans on how they believe they can best achieve their goals. Often times we are successful at meeting these goals, but sometimes we are not. We believe that our failures provide the stepping stones for success and encourage learning in all forms.

      - Innovative products - Good environment to learn, especially for engineers - Excellent management - Collaborative culture - Flexible hours - Option to work from home - Bonus for completing goals & profit share

      - Could be more generous in terms of benefits (no maternity leave, no sick days, no personal days) - 50+ h work week - Tight budget

      Pros

      A global company with a local feel. Overall the atmosphere is very friendly and open. Most of the employees (>90) are self-starters and are given a great degree of freedom with their projects - and there are many projects! Professional but casual research and development groups. New ideas are encouraged and some end up as products! The engineering team is top notch and work with other hardware and software engineers worldwide.

      Cons

      Some overseas travel may be required. Dealing with traffic on 95!
