If you work full time health insurance cost is very cheap.

Cons

Nurse to Pt ratio is high 6-7 or more pt per nurse. No sick time if you work part-time. Only 7 days off a year if you are part-time. You cant ask for vacation on holidays. no extra pay if you have to work holidays and no day off later for working the holiday.

My orientation shift, I was informed by coworkers that I was going to the "bad rotation" cause of the call-in, no Shows.

Gain great experience of floor nurse in the only major hospital in the area. Unfortunately, only hire RN's now.

Cons

Call ins, no shows. Overall work ethic of CNA was troublesome. I worked my last two shifts as the only LPN, CNA for 6 patients due to call ins.
