Are you ready to eat, drink and sleep thinking about dry wall? This place will work you 60 hours a week if you let them, no problem!
Management doesn’t respect their hard workers and bombards their fastest crews with more jobs than their lazy ones.
I worked there for about 6 months with another hard working employee and together we could get even the most difficult jobs done timely manner. We quickly realized that every time we returned to the yard before shift end, even if it was only an hour before quitting time (because of our speed) we would be sent out with another huge job, sometimes even being sent on over an hour drive out of town. We were expected to just stay late and get it done. There were a lot of long days, working from sun up to sun down regardless of the incredibly difficult physical nature of the job.
After a few months of having our hard work and dedication to the company abused by management my partner and I began playing the system here, purposely letting our bigger jobs take just a little bit longer so we could arrive at the yard just in time to go home with the other crews instead of being sent out for a new job while everyone else went home.
The management will lie to you when you first start off and tell you they don’t normally work late, don’t believe them.
