Terrible Management- Be warned

Pros

Complimentary stays at other four seasons, but very hard to get into a hotel (typically always booked)

Cons

The management is really terrible. The company used to care about their people, but no longer do. All they care about is revenue and profit. You are viewed as another number. The way people and systems work are incredibly archaic. An environment you would maybe see in the 60’s. My director sexually harassed my co-workers and I multiple times. Upper management would make jokes about VIP guests (even though those guests were paying their bills). Please stay away- Marriot and Rosewood are much better.

Not friendly office culture

Pros

You are given a positive and exciting outlook at orientation. Ohana foundation offers many benefits to workers and their families.

Cons

I can't speak for other departments, but the sales and conference services department has been toxic for so long. There has been a continual high turnover in employment in these two departments. From admin to managers, 80% of these positions have quick turnovers. The few that remain may contribute to the toxic environment, or they have managed to get on the favorable side of their toxic peers. Management does not seem to value the importance of hiring someone with emotional intelligence. Nor firing anyone who causes toxic office culture. When hiring, management seems to think hiring someone who has technical skills or an aggressive personality will be most productive or bring in sales. But they fail to notice from the high turnovers, that aggressive personalities are the ones causing everyone in the office to leave.

Pros

Overall I love the company. The benefits are great and for the most part I've had a great experience with management across the board except for this last bit.

Cons

Managment turnover is rather high as people move and progress through the company so it almost feels like you have to start over with each new person. The last manager I had was downright awful. She had a high rate of turnover in her outlet alone because of her terrible attitude and demeanor towards people. I've had fellow colleagues approach me telling me that she had been bad mouthing me behind my back. The lack of professionalism is high and she manages with her emotions. She plays favorites and lacks people skills. I've worked for the company for a few years and have seen a lot of managers come through and she is by far the worst I've ever experienced in my life.
