Pros

A. Had a great employee policy, called People Principle - now it is totally corrupted and has become a stigma. B. Still this company has two or three good resources above EM positions, who know what Data Science or Analytics is, rests are not even worthy of any job! C. On-time salary and unlimited WFH facilities. D. Average food! E. Manageable end-of-year hike!

Cons

A. Pathetic sales team, they know nothing but to over-promise on their own. This is the biggest reason its competitors are winning way more projects than this company. B. Unthinkable levels of nepotism and favouritism are practiced here now. This was not there to such an extent may be 10 years ago! Now this is highly encouraged by the top management. C. CEO always tries to defend the wrong-doings by some lame and stupid logics which act as prime motivators for jewel talents to leave the company. I recently saw another review where CEO stupidly tried to prove his innocence about his involvement with personal ventures. Such a stupid step to take for such a high-level person! D. Human Resource team is the worst part of this company now. This team is filled with dumb, arrogant and highly under-qualified people which is hurting (and will continue to hurt even more) the company most. E. Fractal-made Products are incapable of doing a slightly complex problem solving. And the company is proudly advertising that these IPs are basically AI enabled! Such a joke! In one IP, it is actually running Excel Solver in the backend to generate output, which is certainly not AI! F. Here project delivery leads do hands-on and make proposals and sales team gets promotions and awards, which is totally unethical, but recommended! G. The current CEO has zero connections with the employees, he thinks himself as a messiah! No clue why! H. Most of the 5-star ratings here are written by the HR team to keep the overall ratings high. None of those reflect the true nature of the company. Please stop doing this. People are smart enough to understand what is fake and what is not!

Pros

1. Senior management is reachable 2. Flexible working hours and remote/wfh option 3. CEO Shrikant is really of caring nature and empathetic with employees and regularly connects with them

Cons

1. Fractal has started to hire locally in US - you may have to wait forever if you wish to get onsite opportunity, you may end of working late night in India office or home taking client calls 2. Middle management is unskilled - limited technical abilities, unprofessional - come up with their own rules knowing no one can challenge them and love micromanagement - they won’t give you your own space. Lots of them are still learning on the job and does not have strong technical abilities to guide the delivery team and to mentor the juniors 3. Appraisal process is 1. flawed - performance evaluation is not objective/clear and 2. biased - usually manager's favorites or person with executive presence gets the promotion 3. Not transparent enough 4. Most of the projects are Excel /PPT/data pull/ Reporting based maintenance project. Not a place for those who really want to do something innovative in AI to advance in their career. 5. High attrition rate in recent times due to the 'typical service company' culture and limited learning opportunities. CTO himself is leaving the company! 6. Fractal was a very good company few years back but now loosing values and focusing aggressively on growth and less about the employees. 7. Fractal's actual revenue was more than the predefined yearly target in the lockdown period, in fact they acquired a small company recently - at the same time they chose not to give full increments/bonus to employees with pandemic excuse.

Thanks for the candid feedback. I believe this is for me (Ph.D. from Europe). Every feedback is important and every person is important for the growth of the organization. However, as a leader, you often need to provide straight and candid feedback to your colleagues, irrespective of their ranks and positions. The intent is never to hurt/insult someone personally but to help them identify scopes for improvements. If any of my comments might have hurt you personally, I am sorry for that.
