Pros

Supportive Leadership: The management team is approachable and invested in their employees. They provide clear guidance and are always available to help navigate challenges. Comprehensive Training: The onboarding and training process is excellent. It provides a solid foundation, ensuring you feel confident and fully equipped to handle the responsibilities of the Intake role from day one. High Standards: There is a strong emphasis on quality and care, which makes you feel proud of the work being processed through the department.

Cons

Fast-Paced Environment: The role can be very busy, especially during peak seasons, which requires strong organizational skills (though the team support helps manage this well).

Pros

- Fun and engaging specialty retail! You handle art, sports memorabilia, textiles, photography and people's treasured keepsakes. - Being a design consultant for Framebridge requires helping customers decide on custom framing designs by giving them an easy experience with straight forward pricing. -Art safety is the #1 priority. Learning to properly handle all types of art is highly focused on. - The selection of mats and frames are streamlined to simplify custom framing. The training / onboarding is about 2 weeks long and they teach you basics of custom framing. It's an advantage if you have experience in art & design and basic color theory. - As a design consultant, you are selling the framing design, not doing the actual framing. The work is done off site in one of the 4 studios. - Everyone works as a team. Company culture is very positive and focused on brand tenets. This company truly cares about the employees and they offer very good benefits.

Cons

- Learning all of the internal systems can be challenging. - Occasionally studio errors cause frustration for customers and retail teams, however they are constantly improving as the company grows.

Unequal Treatment and Favoritism in Leadership

Pros

The brand has strong customer recognition and attracts creative employees. Many store-level teams work extremely hard to deliver a positive experience despite internal challenges.

Cons

There is a pattern of favoritism within leadership that appears tied to personal identity alignment rather than performance or results. In practice, certain employees received increased visibility, protection, and advancement opportunities, while others were held to stricter standards for similar behavior or outcomes. Over time, it became apparent that favoritism disproportionately benefited employees who aligned socially and culturally with leadership, including sexual orientation. This created an uneven workplace experience where accountability and opportunity were not applied consistently. Raising concerns about inequity felt risky, as feedback was often dismissed or reframed rather than addressed. This contributed to a culture where some employees felt unsupported or marginalized despite strong performance.
