The associates were fun to work with! They seem to enjoy what they do on a day to day basis! The clients that you are able to interact with are generally nice. The main pro of working at Fred Meyer is the 401k, insurance and the overall benefits- they are fantastic! The LJCP- lifetime care plans are great! I would always encourage clients to purchase this warranty because the stones are sure to fall out of the poorly crafted jewelry- immediately . On average I would see 3 people each day due to stone loss in their jewelry. Smart move on corporate's part to create this plan!

Let's start with the complete lack of competent leadership- definitely on the regional level as well as on the corporate level. First and foremost the energy and attitude of a successful organization begins at the top! Senior leadership creates a negative atmosphere and takes absolutely no time to listen to anyone at the local store level in regards to how improvements could and should be made. There is no need to mention HR and the operations- merchandise is pulled every week, and the lower production stores are left with the bottom of the barrel. How will a store ever grow if the lowest quality jewelry possible continues to be the dominating factor of the inventory. If you are of the mindset to be an order taker, and not express a single independent thought, this might be the place for you! The worthless leadership is a perfect marriage for the substandard quality of Fred Meyer jewelry.
