Thank you for your honest review. We recognize that experience of our employees is extremely important and directly affects our clients. That is why we implemented the Employee Experience department last year. This group is focusing on our culture and the experience of each and every one of our employees. As we work to keep up with the requests of our clients and ever-changing technology, our leadership team is keeping a close watch and are making tough but important decisions to ensure we remain a viable and successful company.

Thank you for this review. Being a family-owned company is what has made Freeman so successful and our vast array of clients certainly keeps things exciting. With ever-changing technology, we have worked hard to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients – and this has resulted in rapid growth. We recognize this can sometimes put a strain on our employees and that resources can be tight, so we implemented the Employee Experience department to ensure we stay focused on our people.

Pros

An industry leader and constantly striving to stay on top of trends. Has created a strong femal leadership. A strong mix of individuals from varying backgrounds, cultures, and employment histories. A diverse and experienced group. ESOP and 401k are good (ESOP is actually great), but the retirement holdings company is not the best. If possible find your own.

Cons

The culture at Freeman is forced, and hasn't grown organically from it's previous years. Upper management is top heavy, and communication from the top brass to the middle management to non-manaegement direct reports is minimal. The company is in a constant tate of reinvention in regards to culture and finding an identity. Benefits are not as beneficial as they could be. The ESOP is the most attractive feature. The longer I was with Freeman the raises became smaller, as did the bonuses. My time with the company and the salary of my peers of similar tenure were used as the reason why others were not receiving higher salary increases and larger bonuses on a number of occasions. There is little work/life balance, but that is dependent on an individual's management and the ability to separate the two are also factors. Unfortunately it is engrained to do what is necessary to get a job done, and assistance is not always available. The benefits department was difficult at best when trying to resolve some yet-to-be-resolved issues.
