Pros

I get lots of time off. I'm out side in nature most of the time with little to no supervision.

Cons

Working for the mine, most people have to work night shift or rotating shifts. Not good for family life or to plan events out.

Pros

Great team of experience dedicated people, management was hands off and expected you to perform your work with safety and compliance first. You had full responsibility to get your work completed your way and very little bureaucracy or process.

Cons

The oil downturn and selling of the company this year to another operator. Layoffs are the norm in the oil and gas sector during the down cycle and predictable, however still difficult to see your fellow workers getting let go.
