Pros
Really family friendly Software has great leadership
Cons
It seems like the majority of the issues at the company stems from an almost total lack of diversity in all ways. The software organization is an exception of promoting based on talent rather than age or based on looking like the rest of the leadership team. This has created an echo chamber for the incompetent and any new ideas are given lip service and then quickly shut down. Managers will pretend to consider different perspectives and then inform their employees that something is “industry standard” (though many of them came straight from Microsoft and haven’t actually consulted before). Many in the leadership are excellent at lecturing in irrelevant platitudes without suggesting practical solutions to problems. We are constantly told how much of an effort the company is making to promote diversity and yet it remains as abysmal as ever. There are a lot of managers and higher ups who could benefit from an inclusion training. The pay is extremely low and there does not appear to be any policy around raised/bonuses.
