Once you are done with your training, if not before, expect to work 14 plus hour shift. You are naturally scheduled 12 hours, five days a week but untill you absolutely master this position you will be there longer than 12 hours.
For each person there to lift you up on your challenging days there are four more that are trying to bring you down.
There is no camaraderie between departments. Most of the american line workers in the plant dont like you cause they feel you have a easier job then they do(I was told this to my face) and if you get on the bad side of the wrong people expect be all but kicked out of inventory. There are people here who will plot your down fall so come focused and prepared to work.
The aura of the plant and majority of its workers are negative. I can work a job I dont necessarily like if I can come to people who are positive. THIS IS NOT THAT PLACE. Find a positive source of enegy coming in and hold on to it because its difficult to find. My last straw was when the man training me went as far as to get upset, over what i still dont know, and put his hands on me. After going to management the bare minimum was done. I guess they felt it wasn't important enough to address. Or address the fact that I wasnt being properly trained for the raw live inventory position.
There are more but I really do want to make Fresh Express sound like a horrible place. This is more of a last resort than a first option.
