Pros

- Good cohort of fellow district managers - Time flexibility, if you can get your stuff done early then you can take off for the day - Good benefits

Cons

- Raises are awful - Management is overbearing - Promotions are no where to be found, they will give promotions to whoever they like the best, not to whoever is most qualified - Holiday time frames are your busiest and so you’ll learn to hate the holidays

Pros

Decent Pay, That is pretty much it. But it is declining fast as all other plants are catching up or exceeding their pay structure Quiting and going to another company.

Cons

The management changes every 1 - 2 years. The culture is completely toxic. If you voice your opinion or have concerns they will find a way to fire you. HR is a joke. Any concern brought forward is completely dismissed, where you are told to just go back to work and forget about it. There is no support at the local level for anything. Favoritism runs wild with job postings. They have already selected the candidate even before the posting goes on the job board. Or even if it makes the job board for that matter. Also with that being said, they will hire international students before hiring any one local to Taber or Lethbridge. There is a complete lack of celebrating Canadian holidays within the facility, but they will celebrate every other nationalities holidays with food, banners, and other activities. They put a survey out to the employees every year to see how the management is doing. If they deem it too negative they throw it out and say they can't do anything with it. They will also juggle the reviews around to make the managers they want to see advance, because they are friends. The hard working Managers that actually work with the teams on the floor who have the trust and respect of the frontline workers get penalized with the bad reviews and passed over for promotion multiple times. Safety is an absolute joke. When it comes down between what is safe and production downtime. Production wins every time. If an incident happens it is brushed to the side and they keep running.
