Pros

It's a job....I'm a cable spicing technician in WV, and I love what I do. The company has been given millions of dollars from the government for broad plans upgrades throughout our state.

Cons

Nothings ever right on any order, as a spicer I spend hours on the phone getting correct assignments to do installs or even complete trouble tickets....I'm an able bodied Splicer, I could be putting my expertise to good use and repairing bad copper, however I'm on the phone doing someone else's job....probably a non union employee, that gets paid $10 hr and doesn't care what happens to our customers. We are a communications company that doesn't communicate very well within its own departments.

Pros

focus on internet since landline business is really going down hill

Cons

Cutting pay - raising insurance pay. closing down centers here and there so they can rehire new ones that are a lot cheaper. turnover rate at customer service department is extremely high so customer service quality is very low. mistakes happen all the time. Executives came up with all these fancy ideas but there's a huge gap between that and processes.. lack of quality training. lack of motivation.. over all, this employer doesn't value their employees..
