The company gives you the ability to make a difference and isn't overloaded with bureaucracy. Co-workers are friendly and easy to work with. Laid back work environment.

Cons

The company has never made a profit so upward mobility is limited and downsizing is an ongoing reality.

For a mechanical or chemical engineer, FuelCell Energy is the perfect place to work on cutting edge technology. The company is on the forefront of stationary fuel cell technology, and opportunities are available for doing different things such as R&D, product development, field service. Several employees have tenures exceeding 10 years and this speaks highly of the work environment.
