Pros

On the whole - all the people with whom I work closely are really 'likeable', professional & supportive. The working culture is very good in terms of consultant & management knowledge-sharing & collaboration, and organizational transparency. Plus everyone I have encountered are very helpful & non-competitive (and I have definitely seen the other extreme in other companies I've worked for). Also, there are a lot of choices for benefits offered (use a newer consumer driven health plan - Lumenos - through Blue Cross Blue Shield, which is quite comprehensive & cost effective).

Cons

Structure is lacking - company has been transitioning constantly & is not very well organized. I have been a part of several of these major organizational changes since I joined 2.5 years ago: (1) the acquisition of 3 smaller consulting companies; (2) company downsizing (bench surplus); (3) replacing poor top management; (4) employee retention issues; (5) and soon to be merging with its sister company - Fujitsu Computer Systems.

Pros

Your colleagues are decent people, and make coming back to work in the New Year less unpleasant. Camaraderie, support from colleagues is excellent. You are wanting to avoid Competitors who treat their people badly; amazing as it sometimes seemed, I've heard our Competitors are even worse on delivery than FS.

Cons

Most projects go pear-shaped after a year and then everyone is in fire-fighting mode; a lot of people have made good careers at trouble-shooting. This is unfortunate, as things should go right first time. I personally have been on a big project from the start and seen things unravelling in front of my eyes. No-one seemed to know what to do. Also, little Private Sector work means working at the pace of the Public Sector. Civil Servants are nice folk, but hamstrung by culture and political imperatives.
