FullStack Labs is a top-notch software shop with one of the best teams I've had the pleasure to work with. Their business model is structured pretty well for their industry, which seems to lead to happy customers and happy teams. The way their projects are managed, time is tracked, and how employees are paid are all harmonious. Everybody carries a small bit of the weight and as a result, no one person has to bear any perceivable burden. Their transparency with employees and clients is a bit shocking at first but without question feels like the correct way to operate. There's not much red-tape. Need to create a new app? Do it. Need to spin up a new server? Go ahead. Need to work from home to wait for a delivery? Just let the team know. There's typically no need to submit a form, get sign-off, or otherwise prevent work from getting done. Everybody has a title, but I'm not sure I know most of them. What becomes more important is the role everybody takes for a given project. I might be a developer on one project and a lead on another. Employees seem to be pretty well matched to their projects and roles and are set up for growth. There aren't really "classes" of employees where one person is perceived as more important as another. The tech is fresh but not ridiculous. Most of the tech we use is "new" but far enough from the bleeding edge where we avoid a lot of wasted cycles. That said, there's not really a "we always use X", so there are plenty of projects using variations of tech in an effort to find out what seems to work the best.

Everyone is given a lot of responsibility and ownership over their projects from day one, even junior people. You can work from home one day per week. They pay well. If you work overtime the pay can be REALLY good. Good 401k plan with 4% match. Cool office with a fully stocked fridge. Everyone gets a new MacBook pro, dual monitors, a standing desk, nice chairs, and any ergonomic equipment you need. There's a gym next door and FullStack pays for 50% of the membership fees. The hours are somewhat flexible. You get to work on cool projects for impressive clients. They work with a lot of cutting edge technologies. They expect you to self manage, so as long as your project is going well, you're given a lot of independence. The managers really care about the team and conduct surveys of employees to make sure everyone is happy on a regular basis. There are a lot of really talented developers here...and everyone is constantly getting better. You get to build complex apps from the ground up, so everyone is regularly learning a ton, and learning new technologies, techniques, etc. FullStack is the opposite of being a "cog in a wheel"....everyone has a direct impact on their projects.
