Pros

The local government really invests in it's employees, have many resources for sharpening and updating career skills as well as have local events for the employees to participate in to boost morale. The benefits package is very good.

Cons

The starting salary for a person who has more than 2 years experience, plus education is very low. No parking for county employees anywhere near the government center and it's buildings, unless you are law enforcement or attorneys.

Pros

Good benefits that offer flexibility. Most days are the same. Some fires are easily put out others not so much.

Cons

Too much political crap, slow lazy workers that cannot be fired. Too many departments to figure out.

Pros

Great benefits and working hours. Convenient to public transportation

Cons

No raises, employees are at the whim of elected officials, judges and poorly trained supervisors with little recourse.
