Used to be great place to work: Now Toxic. Career Ending. Relalitation
Pros
Prior to the pandemic, great place to be, great place to work. Enjoyable, pleasant leadership within the IT dept - sure pay has always been on the low end, but the calm, relaxed work environment balanced out the lower than industry average pay.
Cons
Since the IT dept leadership started to include former City of Atlanta IT dept leaders, the IT dept has become a toxic, retaliatory work place. Executive leadership taking aim at the oldest employees and working hard to eliminate all senior (senior in terms of how long they have then employed at Fulton) level employees, making room for their friends from the City of Atlanta. For a local county govt, executive leadership within the IT dept makes far more than employees, 99% of the executive leadership: CIO and Deputy CIOs all make $210,000 + with the CIO topping out over $250k! Asst. CIOs start at $150k. Don't be impressed by those figures, because the individuals holding those positions - are completely undeserving of such numbers. Just look at the hack of 2023 and the numerous disruptions in service since than.
