Pros

great people working there, truly embraced remote work, and a great emphasis on team work to get projects done.

Cons

The benefits are lack luster. Low number of company holidays. Only allowed to role over a low amount of PTO with no cash out option. Insurance costs a lot with a spouse charge if he/she has options to own health insurance. There wasn’t a lot of growth opportunities and there seems to be a bit of sexism involved at the company with women not given the same opportunities or even same pay for out performing the male counter parts. They do have an employee retention committee that is mostly for show and doesn’t really listen to any issues brought up. Not a good work life balance either. Was employee owned and is no longer such.

Pros

Working Remote. There are no other pros

Cons

currently going through a restructure because they had so many people leave in the past. They still have not figured it out, dysfunctional management leading to chaotic work environment, constant rush projects/missed deadlines, the management team is completely overwhelmed from top to bottom with no end in sight. There is also no training, anywhere, so good luck getting the info you need from the overwhelmed leads and PM's.

Use GAI as a stepping stone

Pros

Great learning experience to help you prepare for roles where you deal with difficulties, and poor management.

Cons

GAI is trying to compete with larger companies. They bring in new grad engineers, refuse to train them, and then consistently blame poor performance on employees, dumping work on senior engineering staff is not a viable business model. Lost incentives to join GAI- as the ESOP was bought out. Very poor benefits.
