      Pros

      Good pay, benefits, clean work environment.

      Cons

      There approach to running a business seems flawed to me. Changing plant managers every two to three years is just ludicrous to me. Communication between management and the shop floor is poor at best. The planning dept is a joke leaving a constant rush at the end of every month to hit the sales number.

      If you are prepared to make GE the center of your life, at the expense of everything else, it might be the place for you.

      Cons

      People are just cogs in the machine. No regard for work life balance

      Great talent, but ack of support, benefits, and pay

      Pros

      GE Aviation, Grand Rapids has a great group of talented people. GE offers many training opportunities. GE has on-site health classes (yoga, Zumba)

      Cons

      I wish upper management knew how to appreciate the people. We no longer have bonuses, but upper management does. Our benefits are sub-par. Raises are slight and do not account for cost of living increases.
