Where to even begin??? Well lets start with the interview.. I wont bore you with details but I promise if you make it to the in person interview, you will walk out shaking your head in confusion and wondering "What just happened?" and for the rest of your journey this feeling will continue.. in fact I still feel that way 1.5 years later. Then there is the 9 wk training.... you will get to meet fellow recruits and you better like em.. cause they will be your family for the next 3 weeks. Each day things get weirder and weirder and you are told repeatedly that you need to either do well, or you will get sent home. You will learn a lot, and see people actually get sent home 7 weeks in, you will push yourself to do well in hopes that YOU don't get sent home. Not realizing that the ones who get sent home, are the lucky ones. You will make it through training, still bewildered and confused and continue to hear things like "Don't worry, you really wont understand this job for at least a year" like that is a GOOD thing. (I can tell you from experience.. you still wont after a year... you just wont care as much) Then it is sink or swim.. you will get set up amongst a team, you will not know any of them.. and all of a sudden you will be responsible not only for writing estimates like you learned in training.. but also ENDLESS data entry with differing templates that must be logged after each conversation you have. Your phone calls will be monitored AND you will get scored... by someone who assumes that each phone call is the FIRST phone call with this person and therefore you must "follow the template" or be docked accordingly. It makes you sound like an idiot.. but don't worry.. you will feel like one. Phones... you are expected to answer the majority of the time.. which sounds reasonable if you get less than 50 calls per day, which you wont.. and your Supervisor will blame you. (Not to mention when a co-worker is out of office. you will cover their phones, effectively DOUBLING your already unreasonable workload.) This job is hard, and they say they are looking for High Energy, Positive, Empathetic Adjusters to assure the highest level of customer service. The problem is, if you truly have those attributes, this job will crush your spirit as it has mine. GEICO has two methods for managing your workload.. Micromanagement... or complete abandonment. Both of which will only breed unhappy employees, the good ones will leave.... the weak ones will break down into bitter robots.. and the awful ones will remain. GEICO is big on surveys so maybe someone who matters at GEICO will read this, or some one awesome who is thinking "Hey.. they have funny commercials maybe I wanna try working for them." Either way I hope that this helps someone out there.

Pros

Absolutely nothing positive to say.

Cons

The company is run by a bunch of lying two faced scum. They will give you 10x the work that any human can ever complete and won't pay for overtime. They are the lowest creatures on this earth.
