Pros

Good pay, I know it varies quite a bit but for my area I am paid well above what other insurance companies would offer. Despite the being on the decline, benefits are still pretty good.

Cons

Current CEO seems to be on a mission to run this company into the ground as thoroughly as possible. Within 4 years we've gone from priding ourselves on never laying anyone off to now massive layoffs every couple of months. As an insurer we've gone from being morally ambiguous to just outright being the bad guys and criminals that people think insurance companies are. In my day today job now I am forced to select parts that are known to be of insufficient quality, tell repair shops to perform repair procedures that are not to proper standards, and disregard statements put out by the original vehicle manufacturer because we feel we know better than them. Most will agree Geico used to be a great place, then for a few years it was ok but not as good and now it's just a depressing wasteland controlled by the greed of the CEO

Pros

Decent Pay, good benefits despite huge decline, work from home although pushing for removal

Cons

Unobtainable metrics, constant fear of layoff, removal of profit sharing, health/dental coverage severely declined, very micromanaged supervisor is expected to regularly monitor and grade calls without your knowledge

Pros

None, they left when TC took over

Cons

EVERYTHING. When I first started this company was so amazing. They really cared about employees and we had so much fun in the office and as a group. Once TC took over this company went downhill so fast. Pushing MOAT on every call no matter what, micromanaging while the micromanagers are being micromanaged etc. Amazing employees quit out of frustration because it became impossible to succeed. They gutted departments, just laid off thousands of workers to not have to pay out retirements, jobs being outsourced, angry customers, insane prices. Amazing profits at the expense of the customer and employees. Employees meeting/exceeding standards get raises WELL below inflation percentages but the C suite gets those fat millions in bonus payments on top of their already overpaid salary based on their performance. If employees are based on their performance, why isn't anyone judging the C suite for ruing this company. It is also funny when moving to the management side, they weren't told anything about changes or upcoming changes until the day they were implemented. Joke company now.
