      Pros

      Surrounded with lots of good people, good opertunities to move around Australia or even the world. reasonable pay. Generally peolpe work together.

      Cons

      Very dollars focused, all about productivity. Reward for great works is the same as for poor work. No performers can hide in such a large organization

      Pros

      Very friendly people, flexible working hours available to all staff, great social club and the company looks after it's staff very well.

      Cons

      GHD NZ is not great for technical development for a young engineer. Their structural engineering capability is very weak and not technically focussed. Management and leaders within the company are very financially driven and focus on winning low risk, easy money jobs such as small assessment work and ongoing maintenance work. They don't get involved in anything innovative and are not considered to be top structural engineers within the industry. Often the leaders of structural groups have no structural background themselves and technical delivery of projects suffers as a result and consequently they don't win any big or interesting structural projects in the market.
