Great learning experience, good interaction with clients from the investment industry

Pros

You get a lot of autonomy with clients and get to create solid relationships. Good exposure to different client types (Sell / Buy Side). Fairly decent work / life balance.

Cons

Most managers do not have experience actually managing a team. Transparency about role progression and advancement is limited. Sales people are lazy and incompetent. Research Managers do all of the hard work and are barely recognized for it.

I am a Research Analysts and I am supposed to develop and grow the European and Asian GLG Councils. The Analyst role is an exciting position with opportunities to work closely with business and investment leaders that are driving industry throughout the world.l work closely with clients facing staff in Europe and Asia on custom client projects and strategic recruiting efforts designed to quickly put GLG Clients in touch with relevant key opinion leaders and senior level industry executives.

Cons

Montonous & Less learning, some times too much work load.
