Pros

Very rewarding position if you like the retail business and to engage with customers. Not so stressful job, since many times you work alone. Have chance to meet many nice customers.

Cons

Lots of work for the salary, constant changes in prices, sales. Sometimes it's hard to find a part time employee who is will to do all the work for a minimum wage.

Pros

Part-Time hires will make a base salary then commission. Depending on location, comission + base salary = 14.00 up to 17.00/ hour. Job is a great way to improve face-to-face sales experience and dealing with a variety of customers. "Full-Time" hires, aka managers and higher-ups only benefit the most; base salary, comission, a % of comission will be added from staff sales, bonus' for meeting/exceeding company goals, vacation pay, sick leave and affordable benefits. This goes without saying, the company offers competition to drive sales where all of staff will benefit; cash prizes, trips, etc.

Cons

False advertising of gnc hiring new employees. Stated on store banner(s) that they offer benefits. Benefits are offered to full-timers, and full-timers are only Managers and higher-ups. For students, or anyone looking to have a part-time job w/ benefits will not 'qualify'. Some store-managers are poorly trained, do not know there policies and at times lack in business etiquette which ruins the companies image. Appear's that some upper-management will avoid conflict and will send them to other upper-management staff to handle the situation, opposed to handling the situation accordingly through protocol. Spoke with staff who have worked 2+ yrs with GNC and found out that they have not had a raise since there date of hire. Very scary.
