Pros

There are many talented employees who are passionate about their work and take pride in the agency's mission. The culture is very relaxed and overall supportive of individual's goals.

Cons

There are not many opportunities within the agency for growth so talented people sometime remain stagnant in their careers if they want to remain at the agency.

Pros

Strong community and tradition. Legislative branch salaries run higher than their Executive branch counterparts. Plenty of training and career enrichment opportunities.

Cons

The threat of downsizing was pervasive. It was hard to chart the future of a printing company in a digital age. The buildings were very old and out-of-date so there were issues with drafty windows, leaky roofs, and indoor air quality.
