Pros

I love working for GRAIL. I appreciate the fact that we are a company with a singular purpose - detecting cancer. The compensation, benefits (including a winter week company shut down and a summer week on top of vacation/sick time. The stock has doubled in a matter of months, indicating a real interest in our tests.

Cons

Senior leaders are out of touch with their employees. There have been a number of layoffs, though we have been told there are no more plans for this year. Growth opportunities are limited due to the size of the company. And work/life balance can be a bit of a challenge at times, but no more than any other company I've worked for.

Some smart people and fantastic mission.

Cons

The entire Illumina fiasco has crippled the company. So many people have been terminated. Stock incentives were reduced by 85% screwing recent hires. Strange tech stack: R + Golang. Not great for remote work - culture just doesn't really pull it off.
