A great company with a few things to work on

Pros

GRAIL has a collaborative, fast-paced learning environment. Employees are generally very engaged in their work and excited about the mission of the company. It's a excellent place to learn about new topics and work on collaborative projects that may not necessarily be within your subject area.

Cons

Due to GRAIL's newness, there are still a lot of growing pains within the organization in terms of team structure. There have been many organization changes, which can make it difficult for employees to get their bearings. There are also a few different career cultures colliding at GRAIL, who tend to occasionally work under different assumptions.

Pros

- Unlimited vacation policy, lax time and attendance policy, ability to work from home - Catered lunch every day, breakfast and snacks around the office, beer and wine fridges, lots of parties - Casual dress code and lots of swag - Great environment and people to work in, visually appealing office - Great Menlo Park location - Open floorpan for seating, everyone still knows everyone - Startup vibes without startup risk - Great benefits overall - Well funded, good job stability

Cons

- HR is basically non-existant - Excessive turnover, especially in leadership - Poor communication and culture of secrecy that is developing - No formal training - No 401k matching or educational reimbursement
