Pros

I like the GSK culture of empowerment allowing each individual to plan and execute their development plans in order to achieve both the individual and company's goal.

Cons

Frequent changes in the business models led to major reorganization and lay offs. These reorg often requires filling new position in haste leading to the hiring of unqualified and inexperienced managers who lacks the skill to lead and manage teams. I saw how the Panadol team was impacted by this.

Pros

Excellent employee benefits, work hours, and paid time off. When I first entered the industry, they had a 20-day mandatory training period, which was top notch. Much of my success today was from the great start GSK provided me.

Cons

They no longer, or at least as of 8 years ago, had discontinued with the 20-day training program. Data Services work has predominately been outsourced to India, leaving little opportunity for NA growth.
