Pros

Strong position in the global vaccines market Expansion in Asia through joint ventures Substantial pipeline of new prophylactic and therapeutic vaccines Leading position in adjuvant technology

Cons

Currently implementing a "smart working" (open office, no assigned spaces) office environment in many parts of the business, which is a terrible work environment compared to what was the norm until 2012 Cost cutting is reducing opportinities for profesional development Moving more toward use of "in contractors" rather than employees in many functions Not enough interaction with other parts of GSK in areas of mutual interst, such as nonclincial safety, and too much of a "stove pipe" mentality in Belgian operations Too much bureaucracy in many functions, especially for contracts and publications

Pros

Commercial side of the business is very different than the medical side.

Cons

poor support for conflict management tenure takes precedent. Upper management are lacking in core people management skills. digressive conflicts are allowed to exist with no intervention. being a gross workaholic with obviuos health issues makes you a superstar!! People turn a blind eye to what they know is unethical and wrong.
