      Pros

      AJG seems like a fantastic company to work for, with a good employee philosophy. I met (virtually) some fantastic people who I really enjoyed working with. Since they build their business through acquisitions and mergers, it's nice that they offer such a generous severance package for positions eliminated at the branch level. They took good care of me.

      Cons

      They come into a potential acquisition with catch phrases like 'Everyone's on the bus' and 'Do no harm'. The reality is they don't need accounting or HR staff at the branch level. To 'stay on the bus', I would have had to accept a receptionist/support position, having been the company's controller.

      Very few, that's why I left

      Cons

      Good ole boys culture, very tactical (not able to think like a consultant), not able to grow revenue on their own, Producers seldom know how to produce, horrible benefits and pay.

      Great people I work with.

      Cons

      No movement for women to progress their career. Men make up more than 75% of producers. Women are looked over and made to process, amongst, sell, and service clients. There is no work life balance for women, and are paid MUCH less than male counterparts.

Compensation for Gallagher producers, both male and female, is weighted based upon their sales performance.
