Great employee discounts, an open door policy where management is always willing to communicate with employees about anything and everything,

Sometimes corporate protocols can get in the way of individual store creativity, especially when it comes to social media.

Pros

The money is great for a college student. The work shifts are doable and the work load is little to nothing.

Cons

The management team thinks they are riding a high horse, when in fact they make a little for than you would. The advancement opportunities are unfair, as they are given to an individual who is more closely knit to the management staff and not to someone who performs above and beyond.

Pros

Gap employees are known to be some of the best workers. If you're hired there it's a good stepping stone for other merchandising positions.

Cons

It's a part time job. You're going to come across all the pitfalls that you usually would in retail. You have to deal with customers which can be a pain.
