senior management should take a closer look at employment practices at the division level. some areas are heavily political with rampant favoratism at the expense of more qualified employees and the company as a whole.

I worked as an associate at Gap for over 5 years. While management knew I was in college and was not going to make a career out of sales, there weren't any positions for me to advance to. When I was leaving though, 'expert' positions were being introduced. Also, this is par for the course, as sales is very transitional business, it could be quite difficult working with seasonable help, who really didn't care about the job.
