Pros

Overall at the Gap there was a good work life balance and the discount card for the merchandise was an added bonus.

Cons

options to grow are very limited and usually there is lot less opportunities to move around with in the company.

Pros

Great discount. You get to meet alot of new people. The dress code at the gap is not very strict.

Cons

No recogniiton for doing a good job from management. Expected to do managers work without the same compensation as managers.

Pros

There weren't many I suppose. One of the best ones was discount: 6 items at 50%/month and unlimited 30% on purchases for you, partner (who could get a discound card of their own) and gifts. There's a lot of cool people working in the company, most of them as other sales associates - who are usually students and foreigners. Made some very good friends in the first store I worked at.

Cons

Depending on the place, the management can be a little racist or unpleasant. Strict scheduling and company policies regarding rosters - which equals rather poor flexibility if you're studying. Professional advance inside the company rather difficult unless you actually offer your soul and blood of your first-born. Average pay.
