Pros

Easy to get hired. Heck...you don't even need a valid drivers license to be behind the wheel of one of these armored trucks. Garda will let you drive anyways!

Cons

Everything. The absolute worst employer. Trucks are a nightmare, management and above lives in a constant state of dillusion, EVERYTHING IS NOT OK....STOP PRETENDING LIKE IT IS.

Stable paycheck Management treated better then regular employees

Cons

Poor treatment of employees. No raises in years. Benefit costs are high. Employee's are asked to travel to help other sites but it takes months for reimbursement of expenses. Different sets of HR rules for new and original employees. Vendors refuse to service Garda due to bills not paid on time leaving sites short of essential supplies such as paper. Poor communication from top to bottom. Almost impossible to get answers from HR, Payroll, Benefits, and upper management.

Absolutely no pros! Weekends off I guess is a pro. The downtown location was a great atmosphere to work in.

Cons

Management has no managerial skills whatsoever. There is no structure, no raises, no room for advancement. This is a horrible company to work for. Their maine focus is on occurrences to get you fired. They use you to work overtime, then take the overtime back from you, by making you report to work later than your scheduled time the next day. If you are not careful, this will be an occurrence too, even after they told you to come late. BEWARE!!! DO NOT work for this company.
